    What Does it Entail?

As a Care Assistant at Tao, you’ll support people to live their lives, not just receive care. Every day is different, shaped around the individual you’re supporting. You’ll provide person-centred care that reflects their needs, preferences and goals, helping them maintain independence, dignity and connection to the world around them. This could include personal care, social support or helping someone stay engaged with their community. You’ll follow care plans while staying alert to change, working closely with your team to ensure consistent, high-quality support that adapts as people grow.

    Is This For Me?

This role is for people who genuinely care and show it through their actions. You’ll need patience, empathy and the ability to build trust with a wide range of individuals. It’s not always easy, and some situations can be complex, but it’s always meaningful. If you’re someone who listens, adapts and wants to make a real difference in people’s lives, this role will suit you. You don’t need to know everything from day one, but you do need the right mindset – open, committed and ready to learn and grow.

What do You Need to Work as a Care Assistant With Tao?

You’ll need a caring, reliable and professional approach, with a willingness to learn and develop your skills over time. Previous experience in care is beneficial but not essential, we value attitude and potential. You should be able to follow care plans, communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team. A commitment to safeguarding, respect for individuals and an understanding of person-centred care are key. Training will be provided, but you’ll need the right foundation: empathy, resilience and a genuine desire to support people to live life on their terms.
